There was an Azure outage at 22:00-22:30 UTC, 28th September 2020 and for some of our customers the Azure API returned a message saying their Azure access keys were invalid. Our cloud connector functionality took action accordingly, removed these cloud connectors and deleted the targets from the corresponding accounts. Microsoft has since acknowledged the error, and the Azure API is now working as normal.
If your account is configured to automatically add all cloud targets (i.e. if CloudBot is enabled), you just have to add your Azure cloud connector again. Once it has been added, your cloud targets will be re-added automatically. However, if you don't have CloudBot enabled, you will need to manually add your desired cloud targets as targets again using the "Add Cloud Targets" popup.
If you are not sure if your account has CloudBot enabled, please get in touch and we will let you know whether you need to take action.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this interruption to the service, and are considering ways we could mitigate this happening again in future.
If you have any questions about the error, or would like any help getting your cloud targets added back to the platform, please do get in touch at contact@intruder.io or use the Intercom chat.
